Lake Ontario Wine Trail, Williamson, NY, April 15, 2019.
The Lake Ontario Wine Trail is hosting their second event of 2019. This annual event is a reinvention of our Sweet Retreat event of the past two years. Travel the trail on Saturday and Sunday, June 8th and 9th from 11am – 6pm. Guests will enjoy special pairing of sweet and savory treats with wines, spirits and ciders.
“Many people travel to the Finger Lakes and they may not even realize there is a trail so close to Rochester and what we fondly call the Big Lake,” states Joan Allen, Trail President. “We are always trying to host unique events that will give guests a reason to travel our trail and discover locally made wines, spirits and ciders right in their backyard. Pairing it with food makes it even more fun.”
The Lake Ontario Wine Trail continues its tradition of hosting events that highlight its diversity. With our trail located within the top apple-growing region of New York State, we are producing award winning cider and spirts in addition to wines. While traveling the trail guests can use the interactive map on our website and to discover farm markets, restaurants, shops and even accommodations to extend their
stay in our region.
The Sweet and Savory event is a great opportunity for guests to experience flavors created by pairing sweet and savory foods with selected wines, spirits and ciders. Each member location will feature unique food and beverage pairings.
Conveniently located between Rochester and Syracuse, the event is a self-guided tour along the trail allowing guests to travel at their own pace. Tickets are $20 per person and can be pre-purchased online or at your first stop. Detailed information on the stops along with ticket information can be found at www.lakeontariowinetrail.com.
